Two weeks ago, Trav and I went to Colorado for a little fun in the snow. We flew in a day early to hang out with Jmac and Carl in Boulder. Boy, Carl sure was happy to see us!
The next morning, we got up bright and early to hit the slopes as early as possible. It’s become a Colorado-Vacation-Tradition for Cody to ride with us one day and spend the night. It’s always nice to spend time with our spiritual guide.
This time, we also met up with Steve! Yay for spending time with good friends in good pow! Cody introduced us to the art of grilling out on the mountain.
A typical day for us in mountains goes a little something like this: 7:15am wake up, breakfast, in the lift line as early as possible, SHRED, SHRED, SHRED, lunch, SHRED until the lift lines close, apres ski (maybe), cheese and crackers at the condo, more beer, hot tub, dinner (maybe for me), bed time.
This last trip, we ate in every night except one. As you can see, snowboarding is serious stuff with the Hills and we have very little time for anything else. We did have some fun with the EpicMix photographers, though…
Carl looks kind of bored, right? We thought so too, so we took him sledding!
So the catch phrase of this trip wasn’t really a phrase. It was a serious of hand gestures. Imagine one of those guys that directs planes at the airport, but using two fingers on each hand rather than the orange batons. Ha!
